Class Description

How do you gain confidence and create a commanding presence on the stage through voice and movement? Drawing on the traditions of the great Operas young CYT students will learn how to transport audiences through the collaboration of acting, singing, and orchestrated music while being introduced to a unique form of storytelling. They will explore timeless children’s operas such as Hansel and Gretel, Pinocchio, and Puss and Boots while they will learn important basic stage vocal techniques, projection, vocal ranges, and breath control. This class is a rare opportunity and CYT is excited to welcome back Jay Tatco-Nowak to Tualatin.
