Class Description

In every job that must be done there is an element of fun. Find the fun and "SNAP", the job's a game! This fall students will be undertaking the task of producing practically perfect props for the premier production of “Mary Poppins”. Props are an essential part of every show and this term students will actually see their created items on stage as performers utilize them in front of a live audience. In this class students will learn how to design, gather materials, and create usable props that actors will need and CYT can keep and reuse for years to come.

Teacher:

Sta'Cee Godard

For Sta'Cee it all began with a small part in a church play as a young kid, and slowly developed into a true excitement for drama and theater. Since then Sta'Cee has had the opportunity to be on the stage and behind the scenes in numerous productions. But her favorite roles in life include being a wife to her husband and mother to her 4 precious kids. She has worked with youth of all ages in church ministry for 25 years and has found that no matter the age group; drama and role playing have served as incredible tools for teaching. She truly delights in helping kids experience and understand God's love in such a fun and creative way.
