Class Description

Explore time before television by experiencing examples of early radio performances from mystery, comedy, and outer space. Hear your voice on the air waves as you make up radio commercials, and jingles and then build and perform sound effects for your drama! And don’t forget the final performance where we put it all together by reading the script, using sound effects, and performing commercials. This class includes an IN PERSON field trip to the KBNP Radio Station where you will get a behind the scenes tour of the workings of radio transmission. Don't miss out on this new performance genre, "Theater of the mind" as you fine-tune your voice technique, inflection, and dramatic pauses. Sign up today!
