Class Description

This Winter term join Isabelle VanWetten (and assistant teacher Theresa VanWetten) as they take our  CYT students on an adventure to NYC. In Act II of our "Broadway Kids" series students will learn the second half of a script that follows little actors who pursue their dream of becoming Broadway stars. In Act II our young dreamers experience the excitement of a Broadway audition as they sing, "Let Me Entertain You" and wrap it up knowing "There's No Business Like Show Business". This class covers acting basics, stage direction, script memorization, as well as beginning musical theater song and dance. So let's get this show on the road with the spotlight on Broadway Kids! Oh, and you can join where these kids left off - even if you did not participate in Act 1. This is a stand alone class. So sign up today!

Isabelle VanWetten

Isabelle is a recent high school graduate and CYT alum and is excited to be the newest member of our teaching staff. She has always loved CYT because it's a place where everyone is able to feel accepted and valued. Her extensive experience with CYT's musical theater program, her gentle spirit, and her love for children makes her especially qualified to teach our youngest students. She began CYT at the age of 8 and has participated in over 20 CYT productions. Although she has enjoyed many roles onstage, especially being a principal dancer, she finds crew to be just as rewarding. Isabelle is currently attending Phagan's School of Hair Design and is looking forward to working with the 5-7 year olds as the CYT Our Gang Instructor.
