About CYT Camps

CYT Summer Camps are Now Open for Registration!

We are looking forward to this summer and excited to be back with CYT friends and family! Summer Camp guidelines are defined and CYT Portland/Vancouver will implement all protocols fully. We are so excited to welcome our students to CYT camps in July and August! We will do our part to keep  everyone safe and healthy while having a great experience with CYT's Off to Neverland!

Christian Youth Theater offers week-long musical theater day camps every summer for students ages 5-13. Camps are designed to create a hands-on theater experience, and are focused on building performance skills, self-confidence, and teamwork.

Camps include team competitions and fun games as well as rotations through drama, dance, and vocal workshops, a daily theme-related devotional, and an impressive concluding showcase for family and friends. It's a week of CYT's positive and encouraging atmosphere, and every camper gets the opportunity to perform on stage!

Off to Neverland

It’s “Off to Neverland” as you fly to new musical theater heights with Peter, Wendy, John, and Michael in one of CYT’s most adventurous summer camps yet. Each week students ages 5-14 will explore the arts with acting, singing, and dance taught by an experienced Artistic Team and an engaged well trained counseling staff. Besides theater training in the areas of auditioning, blocking, projection, staging, and prop handling, campers also will enjoy themed days, game time, daily devotionals, and a live showcase where everyone is invited to watch the production on the last day. CYT is excited to welcome veteran campers and newbies alike to a one of a kind camp that encourages character development both on stage and off. Students who sign up for multiple weeks will receive a registration discount and will be assured a unique experience with new parts and songs. We have expanded our age range to allow more students the opportunity to enjoy this summer fun. This brand new script includes original music as well as classic favorites such as “I Won’t Grow Up” and “Fly to Who You Are” and much more! Parts are geared toward the age and experience level of each student.

Late Fee
Due to the fact that we rent our facilities we are unable to provide before or after care. There is a $50 late fee for campers picked up past 3:15pm

Age Policy
Campers must turn the age of eligibility by Monday of the camp they wish to attend. For example, a camper must be at least 5 years old by Monday of camp in order to attend Mini camp.

Potty Trained
All campers must be potty trained to attend camp.

Allergy Alerts
If there is a food allergy at camp all families will be alerted and will be asked not to bring in that allergen.

Special or Specific Needs
CYT openly welcomes all children. If your child is able to function in a group/class setting, but just needs extra help or attention our counselors will work alongside them to make sure they have a phenomenal camp experience. Once registered, you will receive a form that allows you to explain any special or specific needs that your child has - the more info we have the better! That information is shared only with your child’s counselors so they can help your child have a fun and successful week of camp. If your child requires one-on-one attention and assistance we require a family member to stay with them at camp. CYT is unable to provide personal aides for campers.

Christian Youth Theater
CYT holds to Judeo-Christian values of family, community, leadership and positive encouragement. We welcome all kids of varying faiths, backgrounds and beliefs.
